Clubs & Organizations

Band
An instrumental group composed of students who perform at school and community events.
Advisor:  Mr. Lawrence Dapolito
Chess Club
A group of students who participate in professional chess instruction and competition on occasion throughout the year.  Advisors:  Mr. David DeSantis; Mr. Thomas McKellop
National Honor Society
Recognizes and promotes the qualities of scholarship, leadership, service & character in students who qualify by maintaining an average of 85+. Service projects, in order to stimulate a desire to render service to others, are a requirement of members.
Prom Committee
Plans the annual prom in the spring each year. They choose the location for the dinner party, hire the band and photographer and plan decorations for the dance.  Advisor:  Mrs. Maureen Birmingham
Schola Cantorum
Student choral group who presents 2 concerts per year and provides music at school liturgies.
Advisor:  Mr. David Correll
Student Government Organization (SGO)
Provides students with the opportunity to participate in activities that enhance the life of the individual, school, and community. Students visit the local nursing homes, assist at St. Luke’s Mission of Mercy in Buffalo, and plan activities for Catholic Schools Week, Spirit Week and other school and community initiatives.  Advisor:  Miss Mary Schultz
Student Leadership Organization
Composed of a core of dedicated sophomores, juniors and seniors willing and eager to help other students grow closer to God by sharing their faith with them. Each member serves as a guide to four or five other students. These leaders plan Team Theology competitions for their core groups as well as make suggestions to implement the smooth transition of new students to the school.

Team Theology
A spiritual development program that utilizes team activities to help teach the dynamics involved in personally living the Gospel. Through reflecting on the day’s Gospel and actively sharing in team-building games, students strive toward the goal of a personal relationship with God and with one another.   Advisors:  Miss Mary Schultz; Mr. Thomas Cunningham
Teens4Life
Members participate in activities that defend the sanctity of human life. Students send letters to legislators, attend prayer vigils, participate in the national March for Life in Washington, D.C. plan baby drives for local crisis pregnancy centers, and invite pro-life speakers to share the message with the entire school community.  Advisor:  Miss Mary Schultz
Travel Club
Involves participation in various cultural trips and pilgrimages with students fundraising much of the expense. Popular trips have included Rome, Italy; Lourdes, France; Boston; New York City; Philadelphia; Washington, D.C.

Yearbook Committee
Develops the written and photographic content of the yearbook with all seniors participating. Each senior performs as a section editor, being responsible for the various sections within the yearbook. Meetings are essentially production meetings.  Advisor:  Miss Mary Schultz
